About Kathmandu
Nepal's capital is the country's international gateway and its densest concentration of history: the three durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, the stupas at Boudhanath and Swayambhunath, and the Pashupatinath temple complex on the Bagmati — seven UNESCO-listed monument zones inside a single valley. Most visitors give it two days at the start and one at the end, which is enough for the squares but not for the city.
