Mountain Flights

The one-hour sightseeing flight along the Himalayan range.

What we arrange

A mountain flight is a sightseeing flight that leaves Kathmandu at first light, runs east along the Himalaya and turns back at Everest. It lasts about an hour and never lands anywhere else. The aircraft used are small enough that every seat is a window seat, and the turn at the eastern end puts the range on both sides of the cabin before the flight is over. Crew point out the peaks as they pass, and passengers are usually invited forward to the flight deck one at a time.

  • Roughly one hour, departing Kathmandu early morning
  • Every seat is a window seat on the aircraft used
  • Best odds of a clear run between October and early December
